Hey everyone how you all doing.
So today I'll talk about Redmi Note 5 Pro what I liked and what I don't I'll divide the review into pros and cons.
so let's get started...
A small introduction to the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
It uses the latest Snapdragon 636 SOC which is quite powerful due to Kryo based cores.
The device has a dual camera setup of a 12mp and 5mp shooter at the back and a 20mp shooter at the front is responsible for the selfies.
the device has a 5.99-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio as the battery capacity is a concern it's packed with a 4000 mAh battery.
Pros.
- SO... now talking about the cellular call quality it is really good in my point of view. There were no issues during calls.
- The build quality is really good I appreciate the in-hand feel the phone delivers. The camera setup at the back resembles the iPhone X though.
- The camera is the most important highlight of the device, and talking about the picture quality it delivers is really good. The dual camera setup at the back produces really good ''Depth in feel'' shots with good clarity. The camera is really good in terms of colour reproduction. The selfie camera has the capability of taking ''Depth in feel'' shots with a single sensor the photos took by the front camera is really good too. sometimes it fails in edge detection but I feel Xiaomi could fix this with an OTA update.
- I was quite curious about the battery life as it has a new processor but the device managed to impress me with its battery life lasting around 2 days. So the phone has the quality of good battery life like the previous Note devices did. If you are a kind of a heavy user the battery would last for a day.
- The phone has support for Fast charging( Qualcomm quick charge 2). So it's really good to see Xiaomi has enabled the fast charging.
- Even in terms of sensors, we get all the basic sensor. This is what I like about Xiaomi that they provide all the sensors needed.
- The speaker is adequately loud which enhances the experience of media consumption.
- The screen I personally liked the fact that xiaomi finally started the 18:9 aspect ratio in there Note line up. The phone has a screen of about 5.99 inches but a person can hold the phone quite easily without stretching the fingers.
Cons.
- So now moving towards the cons of the device. At the 1st place I'll talk about the camera I really didn't like the fact that Xiaomi has restricted the video resolution up to 1080p where the processor has the capability to drive on videos up to 4K. Due to which the video clarity is not very great as it could be but Xiaomi can fix this with an OTA update let's see will they do it.
- The second con which is a hardware con is the lack of USB-C as the device is called a pro it should be including a USB-C. The MI A1 ( Family product) which sales at the same price tag of RS.13,999 has the USB-C.
- The camera setup at the rear, in my personal opinion the MI A1 has a better camera setup it looks like the iPhone 7+ but yet has a very slick look whereas the Pro having a camera setup similar to iPhone X looks a kind of odd.
- We do not get the latest OS as it has the 7.1 Nougat. There's no official date announced by Xiaomi for getting the update for 8.0 Oreo I hope Xiaomi push the update soon.
- There's no fast charger bundled with the device we get a regular charger in the box. The stock charger is not very slow.
my opinion.
I feel, at the price point of RS.13,999/-, there's a lot the phone is offering. great camera, 2 days of battery life, a really powerful chipset underneath. If you are willing to buy a phone at a budget of 14k you should be considering this smartphone.
I would not recommend the 6GB RAM variant as the company is charging quite high for 2GB of RAM
as both the variants has a 64GB of memory. The 4GB one at a price of RS.13,999 is a better deal.
